WEAVE GOT STYLE REVIEW

Weave got style

Just before new years, I thought it would be great to get weaved in hair extensions. In Selfridges I came across weave got style in Oxford street’s Selfridges. I thought to myself, well this shop is in Selfridges so it must be good.

They told me the hair cost 380 pounds, and then every time I needed to get the hair retied it would cost me £30. The hair needed to get retied every 4-8 weeks. In addition they sold me the shampoo, hair conditioner, the serum and the brush. which each were over 10 pounds. ALL WERE A RIP OFF, The tangle teaser brush you could get at boots for a few pounds cheaper and the shampoo, conditioner and the serum didn’t work at all. In total i spent 420 on the hair and products.

I thought to myself, ok it’s expensive but the retie isn’t that bad. So not even 4 weeks passed but 3 and I went to get a retie, even though I live two hours away from London, low and behold my surprise when I assumed it was 30 pounds but no it was 30 pounds per layer. Therefore costing me £90 three times the amount to the price that was sold to me. It was a bit late to change my mind as they already retied it. Therefore that being 510 pounds.

What surprised me even more was that 5 days after that retie I needed a retie AGAIN (not the 4-8 weeks that was promised)

So I went online to find the website, but didn’t find any contact, therefore I had to tweet them.
On tweeting to ask how to contact a complaints department this is what the response I got. (below)

I then left my details on the so-called contact page and never got contacted back.

I must say the hair is GOOD QUALITY but personally you are much better going to a hair salon locally getting the hair for half the price and reties are 10 pounds per layer and not 30 per layer.

OUTCOME: NOT RECOMMENDED

St. Ives Sensitive Skin Gentle Apricot Scrub - Review

St. Ives Sensitive Skin Gentle Apricot Scrub : Review
According to St. Ives "This extra mild Apricot Scrub for dry or sensitive skin instantly smoothes skin and its gentle enough to use every day."

I've been using St. Ives Sensitive Skin Apricot Gentle Scrub for about 6 months.after a long and hard search for something that works, I have found St Ives. I find it to be quite a good exfoliator and a must in ones life. St Ives is by far the UK's best selling scrub brand. Its no surprise  that  nearly everyone I know has used this at some point in their life even men!Like most scrubs it gently exfoliates the dull surface cells to unravel a bright, radiant and smooth skin. St Ives Apricot gentle scrub is mild enough to use daily but for best results use 3/4 times weekly.

Tip - If your a fake tanners this will removes n tan marks!

Application:
Recommend to use once or twice a week. Moisten face with some water, then squirt some onto your finger tips and massage onto face using circular motions. Rise your face when finished.

Pros:

·                     Exfoliating beads are not scratchy
·                      There is a Lovely apricot scent
·                     Leaves skin feeling smooth
·                     Affordable

Cons::

·                     Nothing to dislike

Overall: Although the packaging says you can use this daily, I wouldn't recommend it. Initially, when I first bought this I used it every day. I found that it makes me skin feel really tight and it was starting to get a little flaky and dry. Therefore I reduced it to 3/4 times a week and it was much better for the skin. This is a pretty good exfoliator and due to it's affordable price and I would buy again.

BARRY M NAIL PAINT REVIEW

BARRY M NAIL PAINT REVIEW

PRICE- £2.99

So, I have a couple of nail varnishes from Barry M,You make think that what is so special about Barry M. I tell you what it is, the colours and how long it actually lasts for.
Barry M has been around for quite some time. Usually i would focus on the eye shadows as I love sparkly things. But something else grabbed my attention a year ago .... the nail polish (i actually love these colours on my toe nails). Due to the fact they have served me so well i thought they deserved some credit on an honest review.

These are my Favorite (left to right)
NP 272 - pink, NP 262- red, NP 296 - orange

I feel that the price per varnish is incredibly good value for money, as you get a lot of use out of it. These 3 products i have had for over a year and well, they last. I love how big of a variety they have; there is a huge choice of colour range, with the latest colours of the season along with plain normal colours. The colour did last a long time. I didn't get that many chips which is good for such a low priced product.

Previously I have bought O.P.I , Leighton Denney nail polishes, honestly this is just as good as them. If you use a base coat and top coat your nails every day then you should get a similar result.

If you buy a brightly pigmented colour then be sure to put a base coat on first.

(An example of wearing the nail polish on Royal Caribbean Cruise this summer.)

My overall view

GREAT....  if you haven't tried them then you

are missing out/mad as they are a good company

and great value for money. HIGHLY

RECOMMENDED.

How To: Use Hair Straighteners to Fake A Blow Dry

How To: Use Hair Straighteners to fake a Blow Dry

Before
After
Lets be honest were not all celebrities and get a blow dry every day, however here is my step by step guide of how to fake that 'blow dry' look with GHD's.  In the past i have used Corioliss , Jose Eber and pretty much every other straightener. The best for my hair is GHDs they create the best look and are also good to use when curling hair - not too thin & not too thick. The GHD IV styler is the 'perfect tool for quick, effortless straightening and easy curls and waves. Suitable for all hair types and lengths..'
STEP 1) Make sure your hair looks super shiny add to your hair leave in conditioner when wet and whilst towl drying it

2. Part your hair from your ears upwards as above. If you have thin then part the hair from just under your ear.

 3. From the bottom half of your hair, divide it again, taking small sections to ensure the sleek brush that bit of hair then straighten them as normal. Do this to every part ensuring it wont be Knotty.  Bring the ends in, as if your about to curl then in 180 degrees.

4. Do the exact same on the other side of the head.

5. Get rid of the Clip or Hair band then part your hair up again this time in between your parting and your ears and repeat the steps above.

6) now get rid of the Clip or Hair band for good and take a medium part of hair then straighten normally until you've got half way through your hair. (ensure you
direct the straightener from your face and pulling it round in a half moon motion, curling the ends away from your face.) - SO YOU DON'T BURN YOURSELF!

 7. For those who have a fringe style it as you usually do.
 (natural top half)

 (straightening the top layers)

8. Continue working through all the unstraightened sections of your hair (don't forget to brush the knottyness out of it)

FINALLY

PINK- Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick

PINK- Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick

COST - £1.59

So Miss Sporty, they are an affordable brand that have been round for a long time but have never really had the chance to try! On the weekend I decided to go and grab some new and affordable lipsticks. I went into my local Superdrug and had a look around and came across Miss Sporty!
Firstly, I saw the price and realised it wasn’t so expensive. So, I went for it! I bought two shades from the Perfect Colour range, two pinks, (well for me)! One is called "Hard Candy - 012" and the other is "I Love - 038" here they are...

' I LOVE - 038'

'HARD CANDY 012'

So the first thing I will say about these is that they are nicely pigmented, you get a pretty good colour pay off with little effort. They go on really easily and really well, and are really smooth.
Secondly they smell lovely bit like a watermelon!

Hard Candy 012 is pretty soft on the lips and not such a bright and heavy colour so I quite liked it because it was subtly pink.

I Love - 038 stood out quite a bit more, but i guess that is because it was a brighter colour. It still looked pretty nice on so I definitely advise it still.

The pink doesn't look good or stand out in the picture but I really like the shades themselves. Not many people risk pink but its actually quite nice and a princess look.
CONS -I have two issues with these lipsticks, here is the first.

Longevity: they don’t stay on for long so I now add lip-gloss. It’s Staying power is not so good. You may need to re-apply however it is cheap and cheerful.

My other issue - drying out my lips... this can be quite a common complaint from lipsticks, but this often tended to dry out lips.

In Conclusion, Overall given the good and bad points, I still quite like it because it is cheap and quite nice. It also has a smooth touch to it and I quite like the pink shades.
So go on ladies give it a try its defiantly in most people’s price range.

KIKO MAKE UP BY MILANO: Review

KIKO MAKE UP BY MILANO: Review

Kiko Milano is an Italian cosmetics company and I came across the store in Rimini. It was a typical high street make up store i refer to it as the Italian equivalent of Mac or Rimmel. On entering, I was so surprised how decently priced the store was. nail polishes from about £1.50, concealers and mascaras about £4, eyeshadows around £5 most blushes and base products were under £10 (great presents for the mother). So, being all jewish , as I love a good deal, I started to making my way around grabbing everything that caught my eye, including one of their lipsticks which I became obsessed with.

Having used and loved my products since returning from Italy, I began looking to see if they had an online store so I could replace the products I bought when they ran out. It turns out they do have an online store which is brilliant and they even have two stores in the UK, WINNER! I couldn’t believe that they had a store London. Both stores are in the London Westfields, White City and Stratford City so if you live in London or nearby that’s a great bonus for you.  If not don’t worry Kiko is dotted around most major or small towns of Italy, from Siena, Florence, Rome, Riccione etc.

The Nail Lacquer red is really red and stands out. It’s a gorgeous, sassy and seduction colour. Maybe something to wear over valentines day?  The price was not expensive at all. I would defiantly suggest 2 coats of nail varnish to achieve the perfect finish.

I also bought the 406 Surreal Magenta whilst in Florence, Tuscany. This is one of my favorite colours on nails. Perfect for autumn, due to its dark colour you wont be able to notice the chips, if there are any and well I love anything that sparkles so with its limited edition glitter, makes me shimmer.

I also use daily Kiko make up Milano 24 hour moisturizing & energizing cream. It is really good. I usually apply it first thing in the morning or last think and night feeling fresh. I bought it over the summer and well I don’t have such dark skin and get burn easily. However this product protected me from getting burnt because it had a SPF 15.

Kiko is good quality and a cheap make, I highly recommend to use it as I have become obsessed and stocked up with their products over the last 3 years. THANK GOD they finally opened two stores in London so no excuses ladies.
