Florence, LA DOLCE VITA

After attempting to do a sort of EAT PRAY LOVE this summer ... minus the fact i didn't go to bali, i ended up in Italy for a month.

I've written about my time in India, i know its late but now its time to write about la dolce vita in Italy. I decided in July to go to Florence, Tuscany for a month to learn Italian for fun. Italy such a great country full of churchs, wine, sea and sun... what could be better. Florence, the city of divine fashion, home to one of the best fashion schools in the world Polimoda. Arriving on a sunday afternoon to Florence i had no idea what i got myself into, all i know it was rediculously hot. I loved my time there, especially the pizza, pasta and most of all scenery. i went to some amazing places.
Above.. the Ponte Vecchio at night.

my favourite place in florence was piazza Michelangelo. From there one can see the whole of the city of florence with the most spectacular view, in my opinion its best to go when its sunset.

in tuscany, i visited Siena, Lucca and San Gimignano (which can be seen in the photos above) which had the beautiful tuscany touch. i do recommend having a nice glass of wine as it is pretty cheap there.

I also visited Portofino, which is a gorgeous market town on the sea in the Italian state of Linguria, whilst there i visited the Cinque Terre, that was also breath taking.
Portofino from the Marina.
Portofino, the best view is from Castle brown.

Glitter

Every girl deserves to SPARKLE... diamonds are a girls best friend. Sure, diamonds are expensive, but in the end of the day everyone wants to feel good and special.

No matter how you are feeling, i believe the key to the uplifting on a night out when you , so called, can't be bothered is essential ..

I recently bought, guilty passions which is an awesome 4 crushed metallic pigments of Mac eyeshadow. it includes the colours white, silver, brown and green.

Personally i always start with the white eyeshadow first as a base. If you use a Mac or any eyeshadow brush too it will help. I use Bobbi Brown brushes. The Mac white eyeshadow use at the tip of your eye and drag it out to the end.

Then somewhere in the middle of the eye i add the silver.. towards the end use the green for extra effect.

If you are Olive Skinned then the green will suit you with the blending of the white, it will bring out your hazel/brown or green eyes. For those have blue eyes then the white is recommended with the silver as blue eyes stand and go well with light colours.

I used Mac Blitz & Glitz fluid line on the top of my eyes from the green bit to the end.. giving it more of a natural look. then to top it off i used a bit of Bobbi Brown mascara and Bobbi Brown clear lipgloss to give that perfect natural like glitzy look...

hopefully this glitter will make you sparkle and show yourself your inner beauty ..

remember beauty is on the inside , not on the outside

these are all of products i use

lots of love H x
